Duchess

This project symbolises the harmonious fusion of the site's historic and cultural heritage with modern innovation. Our brief was to preserve and reuse elements of the existing structure within the fabric of the new building.

The project presents a remarkable combination of architectural styles and structural materials. The transformation of an existing street-front building, combined with the construction of a new concrete building and the incorporation of a timber-framed structure, allowed us to transcend conventional boundaries and embrace the diversity of architectural expression.
The variety of materials, at the heart of our engineering mission, was at once the singularity, the complexity and the richness of this project. 

This project gave us the opportunity to contribute our structural expertise to the realisation of a vision in which the past and present are harmoniously intertwined, helping to create a lasting legacy.
