540 - Raising project at Saint-Gilles

A bold enhancement in a dense urban fabric

As part of this stability project, our team took on a technical and architectural challenge right in the heart of Brussels.

The building, which was constructed in three successive phases, has been redesigned to create a timber-framed maisonette on top of the existing structure.

Located on a busy boulevard in Saint-Gilles, in a particularly dense urban environment, this project required an innovative approach from the outset. Faced with access constraints that made it impossible to use a conventional crane, we opted for a telescopic crane. In just one day, all the elements were transported to the site, demonstrating our perfect mastery of the feasibility challenges.

To preserve architectural harmony, the façade has been designed in continuity with the style of the existing building, guaranteeing successful aesthetic integration.

The end result is an enhancement that combines boldness and expertise to offer a space that has been redesigned in a sustainable way and is perfectly integrated into its urban environment.
