From industrial site to residential block: conversion in the heart of a dense urban fabric
This new-build project is an in-depth rethink of a dense urban block in Auderghem. It replaces former industrial buildings with a residential complex comprising a street-front flat block, two single-family houses within the block and a carport.
The major challenge was to redevelop an enclosed, little-used site into an open, bright and green living environment. The project succeeded in reorganising the available space, harmoniously integrating housing, traffic, car parks, gardens and green areas.
The new reconfiguration offers a breath of fresh air to the existing urban fabric, transforming a dense block into an airy, functional environment.
